- DUMAS (Dépôt Universitaire de Mémoires Après Soutenance)is a free open access repository of masters theses completed in French universities and colleges. It is an initiative of a number of French universities and is maintained by CCSD (Centre pour la Communication Scientifique Directe) . As such it is an excellent accompanying service to the TEL (thèses-en-ligne)site also maintained by CCSD (which focuses upon French PhD theses). All subject areas of the social sciences, pure sciences and humanities are covered. There is a particular emphasis upon France, the francophone world and French history, society and culture. The database can be searched by keyword or browsed. Most items are in French and date from approximately 2007 onwards. Copyright and technical information is displayed on the website.

It aims to provide free access to online versions of doctoral PHD theses submitted at French universities and colleges. All subject areas of the sciences, social sciences and humanities are covered. However, there is particularly strong coverage of French politics, history, society and culture. Also well covered are issues relating to the Francophone (French speaking world). The database can be searched or browsed (by date, discipline, recent deposits). Most information is offered in French only. Copyright information is displayed on the website.
