Speaker: Professor Prem Sikka, Professor of Accounting, University of Essex
Prem's research on accountancy, auditing, corporate governance, money laundering, insolvency and business affairs has been published in books, international journals, newspapers and magazines. He has also appeared on radio and television programmes to comment on accountancy and business matters. In 2006, he received the "Accounting Exemplar" Award from the American Accounting Association.

Speaker: Gregory Morris, University of Nottingham
Gregory was formerly head of the UK tax practice at the law firm DLA Piper, the fifth largest law firm in the UK, and had also been Chair of DLA Piper's EMEA tax practice. He has advised multinationals, owner managed businesses and individuals in many areas of taxation. His background from within a law firm gives a perspective not only on tax law but also company law, regulatory law, employment law etc. Gregory is currently studying for PhD at the University of Nottingham.

Speaker: Professor Jane Frecknall-Hughes, Professor of Accounting, The Open University Business School
Prior to joining the Open University, Jane was at Leeds University Business School and Sheffield University Management School. She entered academia in 1992 after working for a Big Four accounting firm in audit and taxation, and qualifying as a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser. Her research has always centred on taxation, with reference to its interdisciplinary nature. Particular research interests are in aspects of taxation history, tax practice and tax practitioners, ethics and corporate social responsibility with reference to taxation, and taxation and multinational enterprises.

Speaker: Professor Matthias Beck, Professor of Public Sector Management and Director of Research, The York Management School, University of York
Matthias's main research interests are risk management and risk regulation with a particular focus on the public sector; public private partnerships; and state-business relationships in transitional and developed economies.

Speaker: Dr Lutz Preuss, Senior Lecturer in European and International Business Policy and Director of the MSc in Sustainability and Management, Royal Holloway, University of London
Lutz's research interests broadly include issues of corporate social responsibility, sustainability, business ethics; and the intermeshing of national business systems and CSR. Current research projects relate to perceptions of CSR by trade unions across Europe, and sustainability in public sector procurement.
