Smith, Stevie

The British Library has excellent resources for studying the work of the English poet and novelist Stevie Smith (1902 - 1971), the author of the bleak yet comic poem "Not waving but drowning". These include first and later editions of her poetry and prose and published sketches, as well as critical studies, biographies and literary journals in which her work is discussed. Each is entered in Explore the British Library.

Stevie Smith was a pseudonym of Florence Margaret Smith.
