Children's literature links

This is a selective list of websites in the field of children's literature. There are many other pages on the British Library website which will also be of interest, including the Learning pages for teachers and students, and Aspects of the Victorian Book, an online exhibition which contains illustrations from Victorian children's books. The British Library Sound Archive holds many recordings of nursery rhymes and children's programmes and has an oral history collection which covers reminiscences of childhood from a wide range of backgrounds.

IBBY: International Board on Books for Young People international organisation committed to bringing children and books together

IRSCL: International Research Society for Children's Literature promotes academic research into children's literature; useful list of relevant journals 

National Centre for Research in Children's Literature based at Roehampton University, facilitates & supports research in children's literature

School Libraries Group special interest group of CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) promoting school libraries & librarians

Youth Libraries Group special interest group of CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) promoting library provision for children, judges Carnegie & Kate Greenaway medals and produces Youth Library Review.
