These microfilms make available virtually all the manuscript and printed
material in the Northampton collection, which contains not only hundreds
of Clare's letters and papers, but also the manuscripts of no fewer
than 1,350 poems, including nearly all of those of the Northampton
Asylum period, as well as many that were published in the poet's life-time.
