Journals
Research on sport and the Olympic Games has always been a popular area of enquiry for UK academics and publishers, but since the awarding of the 2012 Olympics to London in 2005, publication of books and articles on these subjects has burgeoned. A number of special issues of journals devoted to the Olympic games will be published leading up to London 2012. Details of these are given below
The British Library holds a large number of sport-related journals and indexing resources both in printed and electronic form. These are available onsite in the Library's reading rooms, for loan through the interlibrary loan system or online via British Library Direct.
Increasingly, full text journal articles are being made available online. We identify some of these resources and will be adding more to the list as time goes on.
