This article identifies the key survey data for examining the issue of inequality in the lives of disabled people in the UK. For each data source the authors consider definitions, data collection, issue coverage, sample size and data access. They then review survey evidence in relation to disabled people's economic circumstances, education and employment, housing and healthcare, and exposure to crime.
