2m pensioners £100 worse off, say Tories

George Osborne, the shadow chancellor, has claimed that more than 2 million pensioners will lose up to £100 this year as a planned increase in pension credits is set to be wiped out by inflation. Inflation for pensioners will be between 5.2% and 5.6%, which will outweigh this year's 4.2% increase in the minimum income for poor pensioners.
