On 16 December 2008, the government announced that five public service pension schemes had identified payment errors arising from the incorrect indexation, sometimes over many years, of an element of the pension known as the Guaranteed Minimum Pension. The National Audit Office carried out a review of the payment errors, and presents its findings in this report.
