Business fears grow as RDAs axed

The Government has announced the nine Regional Development Agencies are to be axed. Vince Cable, business secretary, has written to councils and businesses inviting them to form local enterprise partnerships. There will be a 1bn growth fund for regions hit by public spending cuts. Business leaders in parts of northern England have voiced their concerns.
