Inequalities in health care and social work intervention: the case of Iran

This article examines the role of social workers in Iran in tackling inequalities in access to health care. The aim of such interventions is to empower service users, increase their well-being and reduce stress symptoms, mainly by advocacy and facilitating their access to healthcare facilities at the micro level and promoting social reform at the policy level.
