A gang made £10m over four years by recruiting migrant workers and treating them as slaves to pick up leeks that were then sold to Tesco and Waitrose, a court heard. The Eastern European labourers were kept in 'inhuman' conditions and physically assaulted while harvesting produce destined for the two supermarket chains between 2004 and 2008.
