Homelessness in Japan was once unthinkable, but recession now means that 25,000 people sleep on the streets. The Big Issues hopes to repeat its massive success in Britain and bring hope to the Japanese homeless. The magazine is to be launched in Osaka, with distribution extended to Tokyo if the scheme is successful.
