Public sector final salary pension schemes - a key recruiting tool for civil servants, NHS staff and others - could fall victim to the kind of crisis that hit private pensions, an expert has warned. Gordon Pollock, chairman of the Association of Consulting Actuaries, said public sector schemes "do not look sustainable" given cuts elsewhere in pension provision.
