The project aimed to identify, document and promote community informal care and welfare systems (CICWS) across Asia-Pacific countries by developing a training manual for relevant personnel. It also aimed to promote mutual learning, understanding and the international exchange of innovative CICWS. To achieve these objectives it sought to establish a network of social work educators and practitioners in Asia-Pacific countries and held a workshop for project participants. The evaluation looks at successful and unsuccessful aspects, lessons learnt and strategies for implementation of follow-up plans.
