Children with disabilities have the same rights to access general, i.e. non-disability NHS services as other children. A questionnaire administered as part of a semi-structured interview with 25 parents of children with disabilities elicited useful comments on how access could be improved. Parents suggested improvements in a wide range of areas including parking, waiting rooms, health professionals' knowledge of disabilities, and flrxibility with regard to appointment times.
