Quality in Ageing, vol.6, Nov.2005, p.17-23
Older people and their families in four qualitative studies described the aged care and health system in Australia as a maze of information and services. The problem they faced was not lack of information, but not knowing how to get at the information available. Health professionals were also often unaware of the range of support and services available to older people. Paper argues that more attention should be paid to the process of information navigation as opposed to providing more content.
