Housing Studies, vol.21, 2006, p.343-360
Article compares US and UK legislation aimed at protecting the housing rights of their black and minority ethnic populations and makes recommendations on how each nation might learn from the other in this policy area. The paper finds that the US could learn from the UK’s incorporation of the concept of “indirect discrimination” in legislation, while the UK could learn from the US experience with testing for housing discrimination.
