The UK Low Pay Commission has published its sixth annual report, which recommends:

• An increase in the adult minimum wage rate to £5.35 per hour, in the development rate to £4.45and in the young person’s rate to £3.30
• A full review of all apprenticeship options
• That salary sacrifice schemes and childcare vouchers should not count towards the national minimum wage
• An increase in the accommodation offset to £4.15 a day
• Better enforcement of the national minimum wage in low-paying sectors employing large numbers of migrant worker.
