Supported lodgings to help more young people

D. Ghose

Young People Now, Nov. 22nd-28th, 2006, p.9

Government has announced new plans to tackle youth homelessness. Initiatives include a national network of supported lodgings for young people, an overhaul of hostels, ending the use of bed and breakfast accommodation for 16- and 17-year-olds by 2010, and more mediation work. However there is concern over the lack of affordable housing for young people.
