This article introduces the Connexions’ Activity Agreements and Allowances pilot programme, which offers 16- and 17-year-olds who have not been in education, employment or training for 20 weeks an allowance of up to £40.00 per week for undertaking agreed activities aimed at helping them get back into training or work.
