COMICA Festival Weekend

 

For its 11th annual celebration, COMICA, the London International Comics Festival, invades the British Library for a weekend packed with superstar guests from Britain and abroad – including Bryan Lee O'Malley, creator of Scott Pilgrim series – special events, workshops, book launches and signings. Highlights include Comica Comiket, the free-entry independent comics fair where you can meet and buy direct from the finest publishers and presses big and small, and the popular all-day Drawing Parade and other live comics-making demos and performances

Leading comic artists Pat Mills, Alys Jones, Emmanuel Guibert, Matilda Tristram and Ian Williams discuss themes such as censorship and erotica, the Great War in graphic novels, and the challenges of biography and autobiography in comics form. Each event is ticketed and is followed by a book signing.
