Our Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials. You will learn about our Social Sciences collections, find out how to access them, and meet our expert staff and other researchers in your field. The events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the Library. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

To make the most of your day, you may wish to get a free Reader Pass before the event.

A small number of £20 travel bursaries are available for students coming from outside Greater London. Email us to apply
