Where: Harry M Weinrebe Learning Centre
Price: Free, booking essential
The British Library has fantastic resources for art and design research. We have a wide range of unique or rare visual materials, such as artists’ books, prints, drawings, and photographs, as well as beautiful collections of bindings and decorated papers. The collections include a vast array of books and journals on art history, photography and design, databases such as the Vogue archive, and the Artists’ Lives collection of oral history interviews.
Our Doctoral Open Days are a chance for new PhD students to discover the British Library’s unique research materials. At this free event you will learn about our pre-1800 English and Drama collections, find out how to access them, and meet our expert staff and other researchers in your field. The events are solely for first year PhD students who are new to the Library. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Please only book on a single event, using the Book Now link above, and contact us if you are unable to attend – these events are very popular.
To make the most of your day, you may wish to get a free Reader Pass before the event.
