Classic texts adorned with superb illustrations are as popular as ever. At this event, three artists who have brought to life books for The Folio Society – leading publishers of special editions – talk about the process of visualising stories and creating the images that match and enhance them. The artists are the acclaimed artist and poet Peter Bailey (who will be talking about his illustrated editions of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials), Best New Illustrator Award nominee Sara Ogilvie (The Wonderful Wizard of Oz) and Alexander Wells (Asimov's Foundation Trilogy).
Before and after the discussion a diverse group of seven illustrators from House of Illustration will be working live in the space.
Presented in partnership with the Folio Society and the House of Illustration
This event is part of our Spring Festival 2013: a celebration of fashion, design and film at the Library.
