Chair of this year’s Folio Prize judges, Lavinia Greenlaw is a prize-winning writer of poetry, fiction, radio drama and non-fiction, whose work is praised for its beautiful precision. She is joined by George Saunders, an undisputed master of the short story, shortlisted for the 2014 Folio Prize for Tenth of December; by the award-winning novelist and story writer Ali Smith, celebrated for her dazzling wordplay and abundant imagination; and by fellow Academician, the critic, author, and 2014 Eccles British Library Writer in Residence, Erica Wagner. Together they will examine how a distinct voice can unlock the magic of a well-told tale.

A book signing by the participants will take place in the British Library Entrance Hall after the event.
