Posy Simmonds is one of the widest read and best-loved of all British illustrators and graphic novelists. Her achievements range from her Guardian satire of middle-class life featuring the couple George and Wendy Weber, via children’s classics such as Fred (1987) to full graphic novels Gemma Bovery (1999) and Tamara Drewe

She is joined in conversation by Steve Bell, lead political cartoonist for The Guardian, and best known for the satirical strip IF..., which has been running since 1981.
