Royal Manuscripts: The Genius of Illumination Study Day

A day of fascinating talks covering different aspects of the British Library exhibition. 

British Library curator Kathleen Doyle presents a choice of exhibition highlights; Alixe Bovey, Lecturer in History at  the University of Kent brings to life the humour and irreverence to be found in the margins of some of the exhibits; and leading illuminator Patricia Lovett demonstrates the quills, vellum, gold and painting techniques of the medieval manuscript makers. 

The day includes entry to the Royal Manuscripts exhibition from 15.00.
