Spring Festival is back! Last year’s Spring Festival transformed the Library into a canvas for illustrators and typographers. This year it’s a five-day celebration of our collections, fashion, design and film at the Library.
Running from 1 to 5 March 2013, you can expect a Fashion LATE and paper fashion show with Central Saint Martins fashion department with a DJ set by Princess Julia, costume drawing, a wildlife sounds film competition launched in the London Film Festival with IdeasTap, film screenings with Future Cinema, Spring Market on our Piazza and a lunchtime talk with our jewellery designer in residence, Sarah Warsop.
There will also be talks with big names in the creative industries, including Dylan Jones, editor-in-chief of GQ Magazine. Fashion illustrator Julie Verhoeven (who has worked with brands from M.A.C. to Mulberry) will be creating new artwork for the Festival.
Some of our events are now available to book. The full programme will be available mid-January 13.
In the meantime, watch the highlights from 2012:
