Safeguarding
Our standards for safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults
All adults working in the British Library who come into contact with children, young people, and vulnerable adults must comply with the Library’s (and their own) duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of these individuals.
The Library also wishes to protect its staff from unfair allegations by giving clear guidelines in this Safeguarding Policy and accompanying procedures to ensure there is no doubt over obligations and standards.
