This paper suggests that re-aligning reward arrangements to support the refinancing effort shows that a company has a clear understanding of what is required to win the competition for funds. By aligning the interests of senior executives and employees with those of the key stakeholders, during and after the refinancing deal, a company can show it is supporting its strategy in the ways that matter for its survival and future success.
