Many organisations have mission and vision statements and often these are linked to statements about the values of the organisation. The Management Agenda research found that positive attitudes to a collective sense of purpose generally also meant positive feelings towards organisational leaders. High performing leaders see creating an organisational culture of high performance as a key part of their responsibility; this involves building trust, minimising political behaviour and the creation of rewarding roles.
