Samson
Description: Miniatures with stories from the biblical book of Judges, chapter 15, in which Samson tied firebrands between the tails of pairs of foxes, so that they would burn down the crops of the Philistines; in which he killed a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of an ass; and in which he carried off the gates of Gaza. 
Origin: England, S. E. (probably Suffolk, possibly Bury St Edmunds)
