An Easter table, with tinted drawing depicting Pachomius receiving the tables from an angel, with the words on the scroll handed to the saint by the angel the same as those written immediately below. This pair of arches is one of a series containing texts related to the calculation of the date of Easter, which were supposed to have been given to Pachomius (died c. 346) by an angel. |
