Inscription
Description: Inscription stating that the manuscript was given to the St Augustine's Abbey, Canterbury, by king Ęthelstan, reading 'hunc codicem Ędelstan rex devota / mente Dorobernensi tribuit eccl[esi]e / beato Augustino dicate et quisquis / hoc legerit omnipotenti pro eo pro/que suis fundat preces.'
