Description: |
There are two decorated initial-word panels on this page, at the benediction of the first cup of wine. The upper one is embellished with gold foliage, the lower one is with penwork decoration. The text is surrounded by a frame decorated with foliate and geometrical forms. In the lower register, but still inside the frame, flanked by two coats of arms there is a seated man holding a cup representing the First cup out of the four that should be drunk on Seder eve. |
