Royal 2 B VII f. 256v Crucifixion
Crucifixion
Description: Miniature of the Crucifixion, with a grieving Virgin Mary falling into the arms of a woman on the left, Longinus (without his spear) kneeling in the foreground, with two men throwing dice at the foot of the crucifix, with eight niches, four on each side, occupied by male figures, with an historiated initial 'A'(d), with a pope, king, bishop and two others kneeling before an altar, with a bas-de-page scene of Christina cast into the sea and rescued by angels. 
Origin: England (London/Westminster or East Anglia?)
