Decoration 1 historiated and foliate initial 'O' in colours and gold, of Christ blessing Peter, with bezants and floral motifs in the margin. 1 initial 'S' in colours with penwork decoration in blue (the verso). On the reverse two four-line staves with musical notation and Text: 'nominis / Symo[n]'.
Dimensions in mm 140 x 135
Official foliation Mounted parchment cutting, foliated as 'E'.
Form Parchment cutting in a double-sided window mount, kept in a box with other mounted cuttings.
Binding N/A
Provenance Miss Violeta Harris (b.1898, d.1989): apparently purchased by her soon after World War II through her brother, Tomás Harris, managing director of the Spanish Art Gallery in London.
Accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of inheritance tax from the estates of Miss Violeta Harris and her sister, Mrs Conchita Wolff, and allocated to the British Library through the National Art-Collections Fund in 1992.
