Decoration 10 decorated initial-word panels with gold letters and foliate spreading to the margins sometimes inhabited by animals, birds, human figures, hybrids (ff. 1v, 2, 3v, 4v, 6v, 7v, 8, 9v, 11, 12v) and 3 decorated initial-word panels with gold letters and pen-flourishing (ff. 16v, 19v, 22v). One partial foliate border inhabited by animals and a human figure (f. 1v).
Dimensions in mm 250/255 x 185/190 (150 x 110/115)
Official foliation ff. 30 (+ 2 paper flyleaves at the beginning, and 1 unfoliated parchment and 10 paper flyleaves at the end)
Collation 7 quires: i4 (ff. 1-4), ii8 (ff. 5-12), iii3 (ff. 13-15), iv8 (ff. 16-23), v4 (ff. 24-27), vi2 (ff. 28-29), vii2 (30-[31]). No catchwords.

Binding Post-1600. Oriental style, tooled.
Provenance Inscription in pencil: '129 Mahzorfragment' (f. 1v).
Fischel Hirsch: purchased by the British Museum from him on 12 January 1877.
Notes The decoration is closely related to the Kaufmann Haggadah, according to Narkiss 1982.
