Remains of an erased inscription in Latin characters (f. [i verso]). Samuel Butler (b. 1774, d. 1839), headmaster and bishop of Coventry and Lichfield: his sale catalogue, Payne & Foss, 1841, no. 550, purchased by the British Museum: inscribed (f. [180v]). |
