Provenance Purchase note, partially illegible: Israel ben Daniel? of Lisbon bought the book for 25 reals in 1384 (f. 179v).
Jacob Tzoref, owner: inscribed with his name on the margin: ‘I, Jacob Tzoref bought this mahzor for a significant amount of money, [5]454’, 1694 (f. 86v).
Remains of an erased inscription in Latin characters (f. [i verso]).
Samuel Butler (b. 1774, d. 1839), headmaster and bishop of Coventry and Lichfield: his sale catalogue, Payne & Foss, 1841, no. 550, purchased by the British Museum: inscribed (f. [180v]).
