Puzzle initials with pen-flourished decoration in red and blue KL initials in red and blue in the calendar, with penwork decoration. Initials in red, blue, yellow or green throughout, some with penwork decoration in another colour. Rubrics and highlighting in red. Musical notation in black and red.

Decoration A miniature of the Crucifixion with the Virgin Mary and St John (f. 26v, in the lower margin) and a large 15th-century pen-flourished initial 'D' in red and green, surmounted by a human and a zoomorphic figures (f. 27r). Puzzle initials in red and green with pen-flourishing in red. Line fillers in red and green. Musical notation in black and red. Initials, rubrics and crosses in red. Cadels.

Provenance The Benedictine abbey of St Remaclus, Stavelot, diocese of Liège: entries in the calendar for St Remaclus, patron of the abbey: 'Commemoratio Beati Remacli' (f. 5), 'Translatio Beati Remacli (f. 5v), 'Remacli Episcopi (f. 7); a mass in dedication of St Remaclus (f. 160).
Added material written in Gothic or Gothic cursive hands of the 15th century (ff. 9-34v, 49, 186r-v; 203, 205r-v, 211v-212, 251-259v).
An early-modern ownership inscription 'Liber [monasterii] Stabulensis] (f. 1v).
?Stavelot, perhaps its sale, 25 January 1847, Ghent.
