Binding BM/BL in-house. Rebound in 1966.
Provenance Sir Hans Sloane (b. 1660, d. 1753), baronet, physician and collector: inscribed 'Bibliotheca Sloaniana' (f. 9).
Purchased as part of the Sloane collection from Sloane's executors and incorporated into the newly founded British Museum in 1753.
Notes Musical notation.
Many inserted leaves in the later 16th-century hand (ff. 36, 60, 98-99, 103, 114, 146-147, 153, 162, 171, 183-186).
Little booklet containing a prayer in French and dated 'xi Juin 1674' pasted to f. 8 (ff. 2-7).
