Binding BM/BL in-house. Rebound in 1963.
Provenance Made at and for the Benedictine abbey of St. Albans: includes the Invention of Albans (f. 107v).
Added anthem 'Regina celi letare', 15th century (f. 194v).
Presented to the British Museum by George II in 1757 as part of the Old Royal Library.
Small printed square with '123' pasted into the corner of f. 1.
Notes Musical notation: late Anglo-Norman neumes on four-line red staves (round and square B clefs), England (St Albans), last quarter of the 12th century.
Leaves missing after ff. 68, 98, 118; the quire ff. 199-208 is displaced and should follow the missing section after f. 98.
