Johann Pirckheimer (b. 1440, d. 1501), son of Hans Pirckheimer, Nuremberg patrician, jurist, diplomat, and humanist, presumably acquired c. 1460 (see Reeve 1983, p. 238): throughout annotated in his hand.
Willibald Pirckheimer (b. 1470, d. 1530), son of Johann Pirckheimer, Nuremberg patrician, diplomat, and humanist: epigramms to his beloved Barbara (ff. 1, 139v-141) (see Holzberg 1981, p. 393 n. 61).
Hans Hieronymus Imhoff (b. 1569, d. 1629), great-grandson of Willibald Pirckheimer.
Thomas Howard (b. 1585, d. 1646), 2nd earl of Arundel, 4th earl of Surrey, and 1st earl of Norfolk, art collector and politician: purchased from Imhoff in 1636 with other manuscripts from the Pirckheimer library, presented to the Royal Society in 1667.

Purchased by the British Museum from the Royal Society of London together with 549 other Arundel manuscripts in 1831. |
