Jacques de Brégilles (d. 1475), garde-joyaux to Philip the Good and Charles the Bold (on whom see Antoine de Schryver, 'Jacques de Brégilles, responsable de la librairie des ducs de Bourgogne sous Charles le Téméraire', in Les Chroniques de Hainaut: Texte, Histoire et Illustrations, ed. by Pierre Cockshaw and Christiane Van den Bergen-Pantens (Turnhout: Brepols, 2000), pp. 83-89): with an inscription recording his marriage on 21 September 1442, 'Le iour saint mathieu xxie iour de septembre mil quatre cens quarente deux se maria Jacob de Bregilles et Claire sa femme', and the subsequent births of their children from 1450 to 1461 (f. 194); the death of Jacques de Brégilles is noted as 25 January 1474 (o.s.) (f. 194v). Added prayer in French in a 16th-century hand (ff. 204-210). Bidault, bookseller in Dijon, in 1772: listed in his catalogue dated 1772, supplement, p. 33 (the catalogue in the Pierre Berès 5th sale, 3rd part, at Drouot Richeliue, Paris, 13 December 2006, now in the Morgan Library).
