India Office Family History Search
The India Office Family History Search contains biographical
details of mainly British and European people in India and other countries
connected with the history of the British in India c.1600-1947. It also includes
records of London-based personnel such as the East India Company’s warehouse labourers.
The India Office Family History Search includes records of baptisms, marriages and burials, but Find My Past’s British in India Collection is more extensive, so we recommend that you should start there.
Find My Past’s website is managed by DC Thomson Family History. Available free in our Reading Rooms.
