Pop-up Book technique: Lift the Flap
What's inside your treasure chest? Who's knocking at your door? What will you see when you open your book cover? Easy to make and easy to operate, a flap is a wonderful way of concealing something. Lift the flap and something else is revealed!

Lift the Flap
You will need...
- Glue stick
- A4 card
Decide what you flap will be
Door? Window? Lid of a box?
And draw it
Sketch out your idea
Add a 1cm tab to the edge of the flap
Try recycling cards, cereal packets & envelopes
Cut the flap out
And fold it
Draw round the flap on your base card
Draw all your pictures
Finish all your drawings
