35,764 people made homelessness applications to Scottish local authorities in 2014-15.Of these 83% (29,565) were assessed as homeless or threatened with homelessness. Single people made up two thirds of all homelessness applications. This briefing focuses on the experience of the single homeless, covering access to temporary accommodation and rough sleeping.
