Moving home can be stressful and destabilising for any child. It can be particularly challenging for children in the care system, many of whom may have already experienced high levels of instability in their lives before going into care.

The children in this report reflect on the severity and range of mental health and wellbeing implications that moving placement had upon them. Many spoke about feeling sad, angry, disappointed and stressed. Others described how multiple moves left them feeling exhausted or weary.
