This report provides information on the Creating Connections programme which focused on the following three outcomes for single parents:

  • Show improved mental wellbeing, increase confidence and self-esteem, and feel better able to meet the challenges they face in their lives.
  • Able to make their own individual goal choices and develop the skills and tools needed to achieve their goals.
  • Widen their social networks and develop sustained friendships that would lead to feeling less socially isolated and lonely.

The programme consisted of courses, ongoing peer support, and a range of other training and volunteering opportunities.
